New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Somers, has launched a new book, "" Sexy Forever: how the fight fat after 40 ""

Weight loss program is based on three phases, the Detox Phase, the weight loss Phase and the Phase of life. As a companion to the book, you can also register online it Sexy Forever personalized weight program (monthly fee applies).

Thus, this book is worth the paper it is printed?

Personally, I think the promises of Suzanne are slightly overvalued, but here is an excerpt of what is included, so that you can decide for yourself:

An easy-to-follow weight loss program filled with delicious foods.A program of moderate exercise for staying you in shape and healthy.Supplements incredible and products for weight loss to catapult you to success. The solution to sleep eight hours every night, without drugs, lose weight. The key to a healthy gut, plus a test simple allergy / intolerance to unlock the secret hidden in your personal food demons, which silently could either keep you overweight or possibly chronically sick.Balance hormonal natural: the ingredient missing for each person on forty which must be added to any plan. And more importantly, the unveiling of the thousands of FDA chemical products approved and toxins around us every day, sabotage of our health and our weight and how to defeat these enemies.

There is a huge emphasis on the Elimination of toxins in this book and with statements such as "I think that toxicity is slowly killing us", there smacks of alarmism. The relationship between our environment and weight gain is a concept which becomes increasingly popular, but much more research is needed before we can make general recommendations.

And, while I agree with Suzanne advice to eat real foods, I do not think we can blame chemicals and toxins in our problems with obesity.

Suzanne also focuses on the rebalancing of hormones with hormone natural bioidentical
replacement therapy (BHRT).

Hmmm... BHRT is a form of alternative medicine, and for years he was promoted as a panacea for a variety of diseases. However, there is no evidence to support these claims, and we think that hormones have the same risks and benefits comparable approved drugs.

I think that Somers jumped on movement with this opinion, perhaps to produce something a little different from the norm worldwide plans.

No doubt, there is some merit in the book. Anything that encourages people to leave highly processed diets, to natural food, all should be noted. The book also reiterates the fact that weight gain is not an inevitable result of getting older.

But, the bizarre claims contained in this unsavory book in my opinion. And I am always concerned when drugs are peddled as a way to live a healthy life.

Sexy Forever: How fight fat after forty is available on Amazon for $14.
